It follows up to 79th Street into the North Shore Open Space Park Promenade. Here you follow the winding paths through the park, which runs along the beach from 79th to 87th Streets. The paved promenades from North Shore Park lead you into some sandy paths which you can follow to the very north tip of the island, passing through the towns of Surfside and ritzy Bal Harbour. You can continue along the beach or go through the many paved paths in the park or along Ocean Drive. Deep-sea charters are a very good option when going for deep sea fishing in Miami Beach.

This stretch is Classic Miami Beach and home to some of the city’s iconic properties, the Fountainbleau and Eden Roc. Also, mid-way thru the stretch, you can cut across to Lincoln Road Pedestrian Mall, which is between 16th and 17th Streets and makes for a nice detour offering open-air restaurants and cafes and many shops. On the opposite side, the dunes and beaches, one of the newest lifeguard towers, is at the north end of the stretch at 23rd Street. It is a beautiful boardwalk and one of our favorite walks in the city. If you know of miami beach any changes to the Boardwalk as segments are being completed, please let us know! The Boardwalk is at the moment in the process of being converted to a regular Paver Walk to accommodate pedestrians and bicyclists. Warning!
